A.V.I.D.
The AVID Program at L.C. Swain MS provides academic instruction and other support to students, helping to prepare them for eligibility to four-year colleges and universities. The program includes an academic, regularly scheduled elective class during the school day. The three main components of the program are academic instruction, tutorial support, and motivational activities. AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
